Twice a year, our school hosts an exhibition in which students present their work to the public and answer questions from the community. When preparing for the event with students, I compare our classroom to a museum. The classroom has multiple exhibits with art, writing, technology, and hands-on components, and students serve as docents. Before visitors leave, they are encouraged to sign our guestbook with their response to our essential question or an appreciation, take a souvenir home with them, and respond to a brief survey about their experience.
